zAVA halvings Every cycle offers half the zAVA of the last, at double the rate.
zAVA is mined with AVAX in 32 cycles. When a cycle's allocation is mined out, the next one opens with half the supply and twice the mining rate, the way Bitcoin halves its block reward. There is no clock: a cycle ends only when miners finish it.

Rate and true cost, all 32 cycles
You are in cycle 1. Mining costs 0.0002 AVAX per zAVA after the 90% comes back. By cycle 5 it is 0.0032 AVAX, and by cycle 20 it is 104.8576 AVAX. The cost to mine never goes down.
How zAVA halvings work
Bitcoin halves its block reward every 210,000 blocks, roughly every four years. zAVA halves by supply instead of by time. Cycle 1 offers 10,500,000 zAVA, half of the 21,000,000 cap. Every cycle after it offers half of the one before, and the mining rate doubles each time.
Because the allocation halves as the rate doubles, every cycle takes the same 21,000 AVAX of commits to mine out, from the first cycle to the thirty second. What changes is how much zAVA that AVAX buys.
A miner commits AVAX, and after 24 hours takes back 90 percent of it together with the zAVA it earned. That is why the true cost is a tenth of the headline rate. The rate is locked in at commit, so a halving that passes while a position waits changes nothing for that position. Read the FAQ or the supply section of the whitepaper for more.

Rates are fixed in the contract. Cycle 32 offers less than one zAVA and closes the cap at exactly 21,000,000. After it, no zAVA is ever created again.
